Relive William the Conqueror’s conquest of England

In 1066, William the Conqueror, Duke of Normandy, sailed off to conquer England. The Bayeux Tapestry (which is actually an embroidery), embroidered in the 11th century and which measures 70 meters long, tells us this fabulous saga!

Originally intended to decorate the walls of the cathedral, it is now exhibited in a specially designed building. Filled with infinite details about clothes, buildings and battle formations, the tapestry is, for us, a fascinating comic strip on the grand scale.
The Tapestry museum allows adults and children to discover the history of this tapestry through an audio guide.
